In the village of Al-Shabaab in Al-Dujail, Salah Al-Din governorate, the Al-Raqeezah Foundation undertook a transformative initiative to address water scarcity, livestock reduction, and the displacement of villagers. After a thorough needs assessment, the foundation decided to dig an irrigated well, combating drought and desertification.
The well project has been successfully completed and integrated into a fixed irrigation system, breathing life back into the land, and allowing approximately 350 dunums to be irrigated. To ensure the sustained success of agriculture, farmers in the area received special technical support, focusing on modern agricultural practices and effective marketing methods for their crops.
